"Middle Egypt", where the stories told in the wall paintings found inside the tombs are astounding.\par
These paintings are an ode to life, the daily life of the people and nobles of the 12th Dynasty whose actions were in keeping with the philosophy of
Pharaoh Mentuhotep.\par
Carved out of bedrock, the tombs stand in a long row along the rocky escarpment of the Eastern Desert, creating one of the most interesting sights of Ancient Egypt.\par
